Off-Campus Housing Value For BYU Students at Villa Rose Apartments

Many BYU students have noticed that some things in college just don’t seem to add up. For instance, how is it possible that you can purchase a new textbook at the BYU bookstore for over a hundred dollars, but just a few months later when you go to sell it back, it’s worth less than ten? What happened to its value?

But don’t worry BYU students, there are still some great deals in Provo. One is Villa Rose Apartments. We provide quality off-campus, BYU approved housing at affordable prices.

Located at 131 South 200 East in Provo, we are within walking distance to BYU campus. This means you can save money on transportation, which leaves you extra cash for even more quickly-depreciating textbooks!

Origins Of The BYU-Utah Rivalry

Welcome to the Villa Rose Apartments blog. This blog is for Villa Rose Apartments residents and BYU students looking for the best off-campus housing in Provo. Today’s article is about the origins of one of the most enduring college sports rivalries in the country, the BYU-Utah rivalry.

Deseret News sports writer Brad Rock explains it this way:

“The earliest sporting event between Utah and BYU was in 1895. A history of BYU’s College of Physical Education indicates that Brigham Young Academy and Utah met for a baseball game. Though details are sketchy, two things about the event were recorded: it ended in a scoreless tie, and there was a bench-clearing brawl.”1

It’s no wonder this match-up has gotten extremely intense, it has been gaining momentum for over 116 years!

Villa Rose Apartments is a great place to start a lifetime of BYU allegiance. While living at Villa Rose Apartments and attending BYU in Provo, you can cheer on the Cougars in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, rugby, gymnastics, or track. If sports isn’t your thing, there is always debate.
